been watching us online for a while but you’re curious to understand more. Maybe you
have reached out to Jesus and prayed a prayer to Him but want to know the next step.

Who is Jesus?
We were all created by a loving God to be in perfect relationship with Him.
Unfortunately, this relationship was destroyed by sin. Every one of us has sinned. To sin
literally means “to miss the mark”. When we tell a lie, which we have all done, we sin and
miss the mark. When we steal something or become jealous of something someone else
owns, we sin and miss the mark.
Romans 3:23 (NIV) says - "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…”
This sin has separated us from God. So this is why God sent His Son Jesus into the world as a
perfect sinless man. Jesus came to bridge the gap between us and God. All our works and
striving could not do it. Religion could not do it. Trying to be “good” could not do it.
Only Jesus could bridge the gap between us and God. He lived a perfect and sinless
life and then sacrificed His life on the Cross in our place.
Romans 6:10 (NIV) says - "The death He died, He died to sin once for all”
So we can now come into a right relationship with God by:
A) accepting that we are sinners in need of a Saviour
B) believing in our hearts
C) confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord.
Romans 10:10 (NIV) says - "For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it
is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
A short prayer to accept Jesus
Dear Jesus,
I admit that I have made mistakes and fallen short of your best for my life. I have sinned and
I need a Saviour. Thankyou Jesus that you died to pay the penalty for my sins and to bridge
the gap between me and God. Thank you for the gift of eternal life.
I believe that You rose to life again, three days later, to give me victory. I receive your
forgiveness for my sin and ask you to come into my heart. Wash me clean of all I have done
wrong and help me, Lord, to begin to live for you. Holy Spirit, come into my life and help me
to get to know Jesus better.
Thank you, Jesus.
